Step 1 of 1 · Sign the authorisation

Start your number transfer.

Grab your most recent phone bill before you start — the company name and address on the authorisation form have to match what your current provider has on file, and the bill is the easiest way to check. Check the details against the bill, list the numbers to bring across, and sign. The signed form lands with our transfer team within a minute.

What you're signing. A one-page authorisation (technically called a CLoA — Customer Letter of Authority). The UK regulated transfer system requires it from anyone moving numbers to a new carrier. Your signature authorises us — as your new provider — to take over the numbers. Your current provider cannot refuse the transfer; they have to honour it under Ofcom General Condition C7.
1. Attach your latest phone bill

Optional but strongly recommended. A photo or PDF of your most recent bill from your current provider is the single fastest way to avoid a delay. It lets our team verify your registered company name, billing address and account number match the legal authorisation before we send it to BT — the #1 cause of stalled transfers.

PDF or photo (max 8MB). We forward it to the transfer team along with your signed authorisation form.

2. Company details

These MUST match your most recent bill from your current provider exactly — wrong name on the form is the #1 reason transfers stall.

Use the legal entity name (e.g. “ACME Trading Ltd”), not the trading name (“ACME”). It must match the name printed on your current provider's bill.

Helps our team confirm your business and match it to the name on your bill. Just the address — no http:// needed.

8 digits, or 2 letters + 6 digits for Scotland/NI. Not strictly required on the CLoA but useful — speeds up verification with your old provider.

3. Current provider & numbers

Required for 0800 / 0808 / 03 transfers. Leave blank for geographic landlines (01 / 02).

The lead number on the bill, geographic only.

One number per line. For sequential blocks you can write the range. Copy directly from your bill if you can — we'll tidy formatting.

4. Authorised signatory

The person signing must be authorised to act on behalf of the company (typically a Director, FD, or Operations Manager).

Sign with your mouse, trackpad or finger. e-Signatures are accepted under BT Wholesale's logistics rules.

By signing you authorise Datazero Ltd t/a Numbergroup to act as your gaining provider for the listed numbers. The signed authorisation stays on file with us for 1 year (BT Wholesale rule); your data is processed per our privacy policy.
